Cartier Reveals Transforming Artistry at Watches and Wonders 2025

Cartier will feature Transforming Artistry, Unveiling Beauty as the main theme at the 2025 Watches and Wonders (Watches & Wonders) exhibition, drawing inspiration from classic heritage to elevate gemstones and metals, unveiling five stunning new creations!

Tank à Guichets Watch

As one of the brand’s iconic watch collections, the Tank has continuously evolved over time. This year, Cartier unveils a brand-new large model inspired by the design of the Tank Louis Cartier watch, featuring the next-generation in-house automatic mechanical movement crafted in Cartier’s atelier. The 1899 MC movement perfectly harmonizes with the shape and proportions of the Tank watch, making the upgraded dimensions of the Tank Louis Cartier watch possible. It is available in both rose gold and yellow gold versions.

Tank à Guichets Watch

The Cartier Privé Collection reinterprets Cartier’s iconic timepieces every year with a fresh perspective. This year, the brand presents a new take on the Tank à Guichets watch, which first debuted in 1928 featuring a jumping hour mechanism. The new Tank à Guichets is powered by the Cartier Manufacture-designed 9755 MC manual-winding mechanical movement, offering a jumping hour display and a rotating mechanism for minutes. Staying true to the design of the 1928 original, the hour window is positioned at 12 o’clock, while the minute window sits at 6 o’clock. As with the prototype, the winding crown is located at 12 o’clock. The satin-finished case contrasts sharply with the polished parallel lugs, while the central surface is crafted from matte gold or platinum.

Panthère de Cartier Panther Watch

Since its debut in 1914, the panther has symbolized Cartier’s signature elegance, continually serving as a source of inspiration. The Panthère de Cartier watch collection stands as an iconic representation of jewelry timepieces. This year, the latest creations were crafted at the Maison des Métiers d’Art, showcasing the brand’s extraordinary artisanal skill. From hand-applied lacquer, fired at high temperatures, to the watch dial adorned with 145 snow-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, every detail speaks to Cartier’s mastery. The abstract fur motif beautifully integrates elements of both zebra and tiger patterns. The interplay of black and golden-brown lacquer, diamond pavé, and vivid orange and yellow spessartite garnets ignites a dazzling spectrum of colors.

Cartier Panthère Jewelry Watch

Another Cartier Panthère de Cartier jewelry watch, seamlessly merging the realms of fine jewelry and watchmaking, captures the essence of the brand’s artistic duality. The watch design features a three-dimensional panther poised as if ready to leap, its unique structure crafted from yellow gold. The taut, string-like body, fluid and elegantly defined muscular contours, black lacquered panther spots, meticulously sculpted ears and nose, and lifelike paws make it strikingly realistic. The panther’s eyes, set with tsavorite garnets, and its onyx nose contrast dramatically with the black lacquered dial, a diamond-paved bezel, and the diamond hour marker at 12 o’clock, creating a dazzling, attention-grabbing aesthetic.

Tressage Watch

The final Tressage watch draws design inspiration from dazzling creations that embody innovative creativity while continuing the brand’s iconic style. It carries forward the aesthetic essence of the Maillon, Coussin, and Reflection de Cartier watches, showcasing a unique, glamorous brilliance. It incorporates Cartier’s classic style elements—gold and distinctive shapes—and masterfully weaves them together to create a horological masterpiece rich in sculptural beauty.
