Michelin-starred chef from Hangzhou supervises popular Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine “Green Tea Restaurant” opening in Kwun Tong!

Last year, the Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine chain “Green Tea Restaurant,” which made its debut in Hong Kong, boasts over 370 branches in mainland China. With elegant performances by traditional beauties and high-end Chinese decor, it offers a diverse menu at affordable prices. After its opening, it quickly became a hot topic, and recently, the third branch officially opened in January at APM in Kwun Tong!

APM showcases the charm of Jiangnan culture through elements of traditional Chinese aesthetics, embodying the design concept of “one store, one landscape.” Spanning nearly 4,000 square feet and themed around “Ink Wash Jiangnan,” the restaurant presents the scenic views of West Lake through ink wash paintings within the space. These artistic representations, combined with the bamboo and rock features at the restaurant’s corners, transport diners back to Jiangnan, where they can wander through the beauty of West Lake while savoring every delightful sip of green tea.

A variety of limited-edition dishes in-store have been personally supervised by Michelin-star chef Yu Bin from Hangzhou, including the exclusive traditional recipe “Dongpo Pork”; the creatively presented “Leifeng Pagoda of West Lake”; the aromatic and tender “Drunken Abalone with Fermented Soybean”; and the traditional taste of “Jiangnan Green Tea Cake,” among others.

Braised Abalone with Fermented Tofu $98

Dongpo Pork $98, Leifeng Pagoda in West Lake $28 per person

Every dish is crafted with meticulously selected ingredients: the “Saucy Pancake with Five-Spice Pork Belly” uses fresh pork belly, steamed and then fried to achieve a crispy texture and rich layers of flavor; the “Scallion Crispy Roast Duck” features carefully chosen thin-skinned, tender fresh duck, marinated in a secret recipe and slow-roasted to golden, crispy perfection with a burst of scallion aroma, while the duck meat is thick and perfectly balanced between fat and lean; the “Dried Tangerine Peel and Old Duck Soup” is prepared using old duck slow-cooked with 10-year-old dried tangerine peel, Shaoxing wine, and Xiaoshan vegetable roots for three hours, resulting in tender and flavorful duck meat that holds its shape, and a deliciously rich and savory broth. Additionally, we recommend the “Signature Shrimp Wrapped in Noodles,” which features fresh, bouncy shrimp with a strong garlic fragrance.

Dragon Well Roast Chicken $138

Scallion Crispy Roast Duck $128

Dried Tangerine Peel with Old Duck Soup $58/person, Signature Shrimp Wrapped in Vermicelli $108

Bread Temptation $68

Many classic dishes from various green tea restaurants are must-tries, including the “Bread Temptation,” which sells over 6 million portions annually; and the “Longjing Roast Chicken,” with its golden, crispy exterior and rich tea aroma.

The number of Green Tea restaurants in the country has exceeded 370, with revenue surpassing 3.5 billion RMB in 2023. It has received multiple awards, including “Top 50 Influential Chain Brands in China 2020,” “Must-Eat Restaurants on Dazhong Dianping in 2021,” and “Popular Brand of the Half-Year on Douyin in 2023.”
