L’Envol is helmed by French chef Olivier Elzer, who boasts over 20 years of rich culinary experience and is recognized as one of Hong Kong’s top French chefs. Olivier’s menu emphasizes the use of seasonal ingredients and is dedicated to perfecting the quality of dishes, reinterpreting traditional French cuisine through modern artistic expression. The addition of the new restaurant head chef Luke Armstrong brings fresh vitality to L’Envol, as he masterfully blends classic French cooking techniques with contemporary innovative elements, elevating the dining experience to new heights.

In celebration of receiving a one-star rating from the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, L’Envol has launched an exclusive five-course menu curated by Olivier and Luke this January, which will be available on popular review platforms. ZTYLEZ was honored to be invited to enjoy a meal at this talked-about French restaurant. Upon entering, we were greeted by elegant crystal chandeliers, premium wood, and marble decor that created a refined dining atmosphere. The open kitchen allowed customers to witness the chef’s exquisite skills. Coupled with attentive and thoughtful service, guests are sure to have an unforgettable dining experience.

I was fortunate enough to try the uniquely shaped Tahitian dessert, which was wonderfully captivating with every bite!

In addition to exquisite dishes, L’Envol features a three-tier cheese trolley offering over 30 varieties of artisanal cheese personally selected by the chef, accompanied by homemade accompaniments such as white chocolate, mulberry jam, and Iranian honey, allowing guests to indulge in a variety of flavor combinations. The restaurant also exclusively represents a selection of top-tier wines, and guests can consult with the bartender for pairing recommendations. L’Envol is undoubtedly a hallmark of French cuisine in Hong Kong, presenting a fresh and refined French dining experience to its customers.

L’Envol only offers set menus, all focused on seafood, but the menu contents are updated periodically. Additionally, the restaurant exclusively represents a variety of wines, which are available by the glass, so feel free to ask the sommelier for recommendations.
