Artists “delayed” by the entertainment industry! Unlocking the hidden identities of three talented goddesses!

When we think of dazzling stars on stage, who would imagine the various breathtaking interests or talents hidden behind them? Girl group members Seulgi, Sakura Miyawaki, and actress Wen Jiayun are not just performers on stage; amidst their busy schedules, they discover more of their own passions, becoming outlets for their emotions. They continually prove that art knows no boundaries, conquering every field with their talents! Their interests and skills also express a more unrecognized inner world, allowing them to find another way to flourish outside the stage and the camera.

These works are not only a showcase of talent but also a genuine dialogue of their souls. Let’s take a look at how they express their interests or expertise, allowing everyone to rediscover their multifaceted sides!

Red Velvet member Seulgi
“Artist Kang,” holds a film photography exhibition.

South Korean popular girl group Red Velvet @redvelvet.smtown member Seulgi, who serves as the main dancer and lead vocalist in the group, possesses remarkable talent. Moreover, her social media showcases her incredible painting skills, earning her the title of “Artist Seulgi.” However, what is even more surprising is that Seulgi has never officially learned to paint; her skills are entirely self-taught and come from her innate talent.

In addition to quick sketches and portrait painting, she occasionally creates works inspired by famous paintings and various artworks. Especially in her portraits, she meticulously captures the contours, facial features, and human proportions with great precision. Even within simple lines, her keen sensitivity can be felt. Thus, as early as 2020, SM released “THE POSTERBOOK BY SEULGI,” a collection that features many of Seulgi’s paintings, showcasing her abundant talent!

Last October, she also set up a new account — @by.sseulgi, where she began sharing her photography on the platform. At the same time, she held her first film photography exhibition titled “NOTHING SPECIAL BUT SPECIAL” at wwl studio. The exhibition featured many photos taken by Seulgi, as well as moments captured by photographer Rie that showcase Seulgi’s private side, sharing her visual aesthetics. It’s a testament to her multifaceted talents and a great opportunity for ReVeluv (her fans) to learn more about their idol!

After the exhibition ended, she also launched a limited edition special film camera in collaboration with filmphoto exhibition & publication @allyexhibition, intentionally adding effects to the film, including Seulgi’s signature and a little bear design that represents Seulgi, resulting in a one-of-a-kind mark.

Recently, Seulgi shared her commonly used cameras and collections on her YouTube channel, including the Sony ZV-1 digital camera, which she uses to shoot daily vlogs; the Fujifilm X100F digital camera also made an appearance in “Seulgi’s Photo Studio,” where she shared more of her hobbies and memories with ReVeluv.

Actor Moon Geun-young
Announces Her First Collection of Essays and Quickly Becomes a “Bestselling Author”

From “True Beauty” to “Understanding of Love”, Korean actress Moon Ga-young has conquered the audience with her delicate acting skills, but in fact she is also a talented woman. Not only is she proficient in German, English and Korean, she also has talents in ballet, horse riding, diving, piano, violin, etc. She is also a top student who graduated from the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea! At fashion events, Moon Ga-young has wowed everyone with her bold looks and unique style, showing off her diverse personality. She once appeared on the show “Brain Age: Problem Man,” and Moon Ga-young once said that she likes to read “The Analects” and Dante’s “Divine Comedy.”

After two years of silence in front of the screen, in March 2024, this “actor who loves reading” turned into a writer, using “PATA” to record the truest voice in her heart, and launched the book “PATA: Moon Ga-young’s Private Time”. The first print was sold out as soon as it was released, and it set a record of five prints in less than half a year!

“For someone like me, who is accustomed to expressing through characters, I even need a character when writing. From now on, let’s call the cowardly me ‘Pata.'” Wen Jiaxin uses ‘Pata’ as her pen name, revealing her private world of creation for the first time. This hardcover essay collection is not the usual celebrity photo book, but a work rich in literary essence that writes about life.

In her first collection of essays, “PATA: The Private Time of Wen Jiaying,” it serves as an extension of Wen Jiaying’s notebook, divided into two main sections and a special appendix: “Traces of Existence,” “Thoughts in the Mind,” and “Father’s Parenting Diary,” documenting her insights on life and work notes. The section “Traces of Existence” includes 49 entries of daily reflections, showcasing her keen observation of life’s details; while “Thoughts in the Mind” adopts a more intimate tone, dissecting the flow of thoughts from deep within. Notably, the end of the book features her father’s parenting diary, chronicling the moments of Wen Jiaying’s growth before she became “Wen Jiaying.”

As a bookworm influenced by her family since childhood, Wen Jiayi’s writing is filled with delicate emotions and profound insights. In her book, she takes on the persona of “Patta” to explore extraordinary moments in ordinary life, allowing readers to feel her authenticity and sincerity.

The book is filled with her thoughts, from the little details of life to visions of the future. Wen Jiahui uses words to depict her journey of the heart. Her story is not only an exploration of her own inner self but also resonates with every reader. Therefore, once this book was released, it quickly sold out, becoming a bestseller and sparking widespread attention and discussion.

Korean readers describe this as a work that offers a “calm sense of comfort.” It avoids cliched sentimentality and instead explores the self through contemplative prose. From insights on love to reflections on life, Moon Ga-young demonstrates a literary charm that transcends her identity as an actress. Her story reminds us that success comes not only from the glamour of the screen but also from self-awareness and continuous innovation. We look forward to more surprises and inspiration from Moon Ga-young in her future works.

LE SSERAFIM member Sakura Miyawaki
launches personal weaving brand “Kkurochet

The popular South Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM @le_sserafim member “Little Cherry Blossom” Sakurai Sakura, besides her sweet appearance and impressive stage performance, her serious, hardworking, and humble yet confident personality is also favored by the audience. However, off-screen, her weaving skills have amazed many, making her a well-known “weaver” in the Kpop circle. She has even initiated “knitting diplomacy,” gifting her group members and friends with her creations.

In her spare time, she enjoys knitting and often shares her creations on social media, showcasing her gentle and delicate side through cold caps, knitted pouches, charms, backpacks, and even tops. In the past, she wore a top she knitted herself on stage, which became one of the outfits for the “EASY” performance; the rabbit headband seen in the group’s album “CRAZY” was also made by her. She even sparked a trend for “bowtie cat ear beanies” on social media, with many FEARNOT fans eagerly hoping to purchase the same style!

“Little Sakura,” hearing everyone’s wishes, has decided to launch her own personal weaving brand “Kkurochet,” which will be sold as part of HYBE’s official merchandise! Transforming her hobby into a side business, she introduces a collection of 7 products including a cat-ear hat for lightstick support, woven bags, a four-leaf clover keychain, a FIM coin purse, and a knitted crossbody bag. Each piece is filled with her creativity and delicacy, and the first batch sold out in just 5 minutes!

In a live broadcast back in 2023, she explained that aside from her busy work, she wanted to lead a more fulfilling life. Thus, she started learning to knit and read novels, aiming to make good use of the brief moments of waiting in her schedule to absorb more new things. This time, she also expressed through her agency, Source Music, that knitting has become a way for her to recharge, and she wants to share the tranquility, focus, relaxation, and sense of achievement she gains from the knitting process with FEARNOT.

So, she also intentionally shot a Vlog to personally introduce the brand, its philosophy, the label logo, and the design details of each product, showing great sincerity.

It seems that the three goddesses, even on different runways, can showcase a variety of skills and shine brightly, bringing them closer to everyone’s everyday life.
