In celebration of the 40th anniversary of “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind,” Neon Lit and Clockenflap Presents are teaming up to present the “Ghibli Film Original Vocal Symphony Concert – Hong Kong Station,” inviting the original vocalists from classic Ghibli animations, including Akiko Yano, Azumi Inoue, Yuu Yuu Wanna, and the voice actress of Nausicaä, Sumi Shimamoto, to recreate classic songs from “Spirited Away,” “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Castle in the Sky,” and more.
This concert will be conducted by the renowned violinist Ken Yamashita, who was the principal violinist for the “Studio Ghibli Orchestra” concerts, known for his exquisite technique and profound musicality. Ken Yamashita will lead an orchestra composed of 17 experienced elite musicians, collaborating with several original vocalists to passionately reinterpret the endless charm of Studio Ghibli film music.
