Transforming iPod and IE into alternative gadgets? Design genius Jake Olshan awakens the collective memories of the millennial generation!

In this age of digital frenzy, there are always gentle designs that touch our softest memories. And this mirror awakens the collective nostalgia of the millennial generation!

With vintage trends surging one after another, not only have wired headphones and CCD returned, but even the iPod is making a comeback in a larger form, once again becoming an essential part of your daily routine!

This is the design work “iMirror” by the design genius Jake Olshan from Los Angeles. It is a full-length mirror inspired by the classic Apple product, the iPod nano, and comes in six colors: red, pink, blue, green, purple, and black. It perfectly recreates the iPod nano that accompanied us through countless moments. The mirror stands 150 cm tall, and as you stand in front of it, the words “Find Yourself” gently call out, almost reminding you that the journey of self-discovery is never too late, bringing people back to that youthful time filled with music and dreams.

This is not just a mirror, but a window of time that connects the past and the present, allowing each gaze to become a warm conversation with oneself. With only 200 pieces available, each mirror becomes a unique piece of art collection, transforming this vintage sentiment into a luxurious aesthetic.

In addition to the iPod mirror, the design brand Drought that he founded often launches various nostalgic products, such as the giant knife-shaped mirror “Knife Mirror,” the Microsoft Office assistant Clippy-shaped clip “Clippy the Money Clip,” the spinning top belt “beybelt,” and the Windows icon bracelet “Web Surfer Bracelet,” each design being fun and imaginative.

For example, the Knife Mirror, made of wood and glass, stands about 200cm tall. It features a dramatic design and is complemented by a handcrafted, plush rug shaped like a vivid red bloodstain, known as “Knife Mirror & Blood Rug,” making it very eye-catching.

This giant knife combined with a mirror is not only a reinterpretation of the object itself but also a profound exploration of identity, reflection, and reality. The sharpness of the knife and the reflection of the mirror provoke thoughts about the boundaries between “sharpness” and “dullness,” leading us to reflect on our self-image while creating a strong visual contrast in the space. As he stated in the advertisement: looking good is the best revenge!

From the iPod to Internet Explorer, which design stirs your memories the most?
