The creative director of Anteprima, Izumi Ogino, who has a passion for art and has collaborated with numerous artists, draws inspiration from the Japanese artist Izumi Kato. At the 2025 Milan Autumn/Winter Fashion Show, she has created a series of wearable and collectible artworks. When designers seek inspiration from art, it builds a stage for fashion, making garments resemble walking pieces of art. The Anteprima 2025 Autumn/Winter collection further bridges the dialogue between art and fashion.

The works of Izumi Kato are imbued with a sense of mystery. Growing up in Shimane Prefecture, known as the “Land of Myths” in Japan, he has created fascinating and enigmatic embryonic creatures set against blurred color backgrounds, as if floating in a realm that is neither here nor there. His pieces feature lively, large-eyed humanoid beings, and many believe that he draws inspiration from the spirits of ancient Japanese folklore. However, Kato has never elaborated on the creative concepts or messages behind each work, as he adheres to the belief that “viewers have the freedom to interpret the works.” Just as Izumi Ogino hopes women can freely express their personal style and discover their unique beauty to gain strength from fashion.

The autumn-winter collection interweaves the past and the future, exploring a world that is both ancient and futuristic, primitive and refined: intriguing tribal totems, organic shapes, and a series of mysterious humanoid figures and animals with a sense of the future. Deep earth tones combined with vibrant splashes of color present a blend of retro primitivism and futuristic fantasy.

In addition, the Anteprima Wirebag has become a canvas for designers, woven from futuristic materials and enhanced with Kato Izumi’s paintings, embroidery, and primitive totems, adding a captivating and mysterious atmosphere. The animal-shaped brooches and bud decorations extending from the handbag transform the Wirebag into a more interesting and vibrant fashion accessory. The larger version of the Twist Bag also makes its debut.

This time, the 2025 Grand Show has specially invited Ni Chenxi and Alina to attend the fashion show together, showcasing wearable art, with each piece telling its own story!
